Issues with Finding Contacts by Company Name and Job Title on LinkedIn

·
·

Hey! I'm trying to find people based on company name + job title. Using the company url, it's unable to find the LI URL (and so anyone at the company (Link to company LI IS on website)) Using the company linkedin url, it doesn't find all relevant contacts with X job title. There should be 4 client partners. (It isn't based on whether or not profile is set to private as 1 who is private was found, 1 who isn't wasnt found) Any reason for this? I've also seen that it's possible to plug apollo in to do a company + job title search.. don't have apollo so I can't test. The question is, will it find all relevant contacts for my search?

Hey Vincent, thanks for the inquiry and sharing! I took a quick look here and noticed that La Growth Machine has a different URL in their LinkedIn profile, and that's likely what our data providers are matching against -> https://lgm.rocks/h0t I did find your profile and Ugné's but when trying to open them in incognito, there's no information available in the preview (it asks us to login to see any data) thus our data providers likely didn't try to scrape them since there wasn't enough information they could share. They don't use your cookies or session to scrape data and why they're limited to publicly visible information. Let me know if you have additional questions! https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1178156748/98168f2c2020f3fba3c905c8/image.png?expires=1726166700&signature=bda0231c12ce5aa076f3b9d3fa49e46254b2e6450a1241352af5c97be5128330&req=dSEgHsh7m4ZbUfMW1HO4zToXUyycBi%2FfeY44DUpRnHIAovPPcFLh2vm9elWT%0AiiOq%0A

About Apollo, it's possible they may have already scraped or sourced all contact, however, I'm not familiar enough with what process they follow and if their coverage is enough as an alternative (it may be the case in some industries). They do offer a free trial, you can likely test directly in their site to confirm before using their API option. Hope that helps!

Hey Arturo/team, looking into this again and it's pretty limiting/frustrating. I did find your profile and Ugné's but when trying to open them in incognito, there's no information available in the preview (it asks us to login to see any data) thus our data providers likely didn't try to scrape them since there wasn't enough information they could share. They don't use your cookies or session to scrape data and why they're limited to publicly visible information. In short: a lot of credits, and so $, used just to get to the stage of identifying relevant companies. Then I try to find profiles at those companies and they're not appearing. I can find them doing manual searches, but that's not really the point. Super time consuming. Between this and the other issue, I'm getting circa 40% profiles (using all variations for ceo/founder job title) based on the companies I've identified. ---- To note:

    • The 40% figure is very approx

    • I haven't created loooads of tables. This is just based on a few, based on my use cases

--- It'd be great if this could be 'resolved' but I know things don't really work like that 😉 . It's more to share product feedback based on my usage

Hi Vincent! I've shared your feedback with the team, and we're already aware of some of the limitations of the "find people" search. While we're actively working on improving it, here are three additional ways you can pull people based on your company identifiers: 1. Apollo Integration: If you have a company table, you can set up an Apollo "find people at company by job title" integration to import those profiles into your people table. 2. In addition to the Apollo integration, you can set up a Rapid API HTTP integration (starts at $5/month) to search for people based on company name and other identifiers. 3. Bonus Tip: Our Datagma integration "find employees at company" also allows you to discover people based on your criteria. I understand that these are temporary workarounds, but I hope these ideas will assist you in finding people while we continue to enhance our product. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions on the ideas I shared 😊

btw, Vincent can you share the company table with the 40% people hit rate, please? We want to investigate this further.

Hey Daniel, appreciate the response. It was based on previous tests Ive done - hence the 40% approx figure. I'll be sure to send you a link to the table if it reoccurs on the new ones I create 🙂
