hey there! i have a list of 1700 SMBs including business name and website. i’m trying to use that list to identify owners/co-owners/founders/co-founders/CEOs their email and personal phone numbers; however, the LinkedIn company match rate is pretty low - 29% are missing LI company listings. any idea how i can get a higher % of the data i’m looking for ???
Hi Katie D., I would recommend using the 'Find People' feature to retrieve and import a table with individuals for leads. Attaching a brief video below to help guide you with doing this in your table -- I didn't input too many keywords into the Job Titles (and there are a lot more fields in which you can specify information you are looking for) but hopefully it helps you gather a list. Once you have that list, you can run enrichments to find email and phone numbers by clicking 'Enrich Data' in the top right panel and searching for the enrichment you would like to perform -- there are typically numerous data providers that can provide you with information on whichever datapoint you are looking for so you can test a few to see what works best. when i try to match on website, it says there are only 576 companies though!
some of the values in “Website” are missing “www.” would that make a difference?
hmm interesting -- I was able to get 928 companies when inputing 'Websites' into 'Find People'
Ok I got that too now, but I’m still getting a very small number of records. Any other way to match on company besides LinkedIn? Again, these are SMBs that don’t often have LinkedIn companies. I also have phone numbers, addresses, and lat + long Also, I don’t understand what “Previewing 44 people from 57 out of 928 companies from 283 search results” means. Is it that there are 283 company matches, but only 57 people matches, and because of my limit on contacts/ company, I’m only seeing 44?
Just “Owner”
i’d love if you could answer the questions i asked though! what other ways do we have to identify decision makers that don’t involve LinkedIn??
The best way to find people, though, is by using the 'Find People' feature. I would try entering more keywords than 'Owner'. Include all the other tags you're also looking for -- like found, co-founder etc.
do you have any recommendations of which data provider would be best for my use case?
i’m looking for the owner/owners’ first name, last name, email, and personal phone number
Katie D., have you tried both the personal email and work email waterfalls? I just looked at your Find People table and it seems like you haven't run the find work email enrichment -- here's a tutorial for how to do that: https://www.clay.com/learn/find-work-emails-from-linkedinHopefully since you have all the company domains populated in your table, the enrichment will be able to find a good number!
i did and put it in another tab. i’m really trying to understand if there are any options outside of linkedin to get the information that i’m looking for, because we have such a low match rate. it sounds like there aren’t, is that correct?
i’ll try that!
if you could share all other enrichment options that would help us go from website, address, etc to business owner(s)' name, email and cell, that would be awesome!
there are so many that i’m not even sure where to start
Hey Katie!! happy to share some resources that could help with SMB use cases -> SMB guide- https://www.clay.com/blog/scraping-google-maps-niche-lead-generation
