what are the exact differences, limitations, etc. between a company table, people table, and custom table? I can’t find info about it in the docs.
👋 Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Here’s a quick breakdown of the differences: • Companies Table: Designed for company-specific data, with features like “Find People” and company enrichment tools. • People Table: Focuses on individual person data, with features related to “Find People” and contact enrichment. • Custom Table: More generic, with flexible features depending on your specific use case. What’s your end goal here? I can guide you on which table might be best for your needs! 😊
I want to know why they are separate. Seems like Custom can (or should) already do both functions you explained above
I’m wondering about the limitations in each table too. Because I can’t see any
Hey Jeremy, a Company table autopopulates with basic company columns - Company Name, Domain, and LinkedIn url. The actions menu also has specific company actions including new hire signals and find more companies. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226828989/51dfd7388ebcf71714d3b8125a46/CleanShot+2024-10-23+at+17_28_11%402x.png?expires=1729720800&signature=be156068907c91a47021bb8e99d343acf2c900409a64ad34b38803a5cc26c91a&req=dSIlEMF8lYhXUPMW1HO4zVij4ad%2Bn60xM7HSf%2BXWzS2uGT2%2Brlh8RM%2FgAKQJ%0AxREM%0A A people table auto-populates with the basic people columns - Full Name, Email, Company Domain, LinkedIn profile. It also has different person actions as shown below. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1226829600/8566cf6331644dffdafba19b81bf/CleanShot+2024-10-23+at+17_29_11%402x.png?expires=1729720800&signature=a1023749804e1c695f0119cf2da287ba74b242d77e4129668f4ae6cd1a6268a4&req=dSIlEMF8lIdfWfMW1HO4za%2Fpu1LP6mu73m9FqPQQ2uCcPwGZ8o0Dm0Vm2eLV%0AKnWq%0A We reccommend using these instead of starting with the Blank table as it's easier to stay organized and build your workflow from here. However there are situations where a custom blank table is most useful. We currently limit tables to 50k rows, 70 columns and 30 enrichments per table. We do this to ensure we can continue providing excellent performance across the board. If you've run out of rows, you can always create another table. If you've run out of columns, we'd recommend checking to see if there are any columns/enrichments that you aren't currently using. Could you share more about your end goal? Happy to suggest the right place to start for you!
