Hey team, quick question! Is there a way to have clay pull data from my crm on a schedules basis? Specifically master contact data, that would update automatically monthly on that clay table?
Yes, we can automatically pull and update CRM data in Clay on a scheduled basis. Our new Clay Scheduling feature allows you to set up scheduled sources that refresh data from your CRM (like master contact data) automatically - daily, weekly, or monthly. Here's how it works: 1. Import your CRM list into Clay 2. Set up a scheduled refresh (e.g., monthly) 3. Clay will automatically update the data at your chosen frequency This keeps your CRM data in Clay current without manual updates. Note: While scheduled enrichments aren't available yet, CRM sources update automatically every 24 hours in a two-way sync.
can it work with net new data? For example, if i upload contacts into my crm, can they automatically be updated into the clay table or would I need to import a new list?
Yes, new contacts added to your CRM can automatically update into your Clay table. We have a system that keeps your CRM data in Clay current without manual updates: 1. When you initially import your CRM list into Clay, it sets up a connection. 2. Clay then updates this data automatically, typically daily (or more frequently for enterprise plans). 3. The system adds new contacts to the refresh list when their Last Enrichment Date is outside your specified range. 4. You can customize the refresh frequency based on your needs. This closed-loop system ensures your Clay table stays up-to-date with the latest information from your CRM, including new contacts, without requiring you to import a new list each time.
can we connect the activity object/activity log? Like pulling specific contacts and call dispositions?
Yes, we can connect to activity objects and logs to pull specific contacts and call dispositions. Here's how you can do this: 1. For call dispositions, we have integrations with tools like Gong that allow you to pull call details. 2. You can use our "Get Call Details with Gong" action to retrieve detailed information about calls, including dispositions. 3. For logging call outcomes, you can use call disposition categories like "interested," "not interested," or "requires follow-up." 4. To connect specific contacts, you can use our "write to table" feature to send call data to a separate table where you can pull in all details and enrich contacts. This setup allows you to track call outcomes and link them to specific contacts in your Clay tables.
Joel the AI is giving you half answers.
You can have net-new contacts added to the Clay enrichment if you create an active list in HubSpot and have all contacts you want enriched included in that active list. Then pull the list into Clay and set your enrichment schedule
Currently you CANNOT include activities in your Clay enrichment. I built a custom integration between Clay <> HubSpot that can do scheduled re-enrichment more easily than the native feature with custom overwrite rules etc. and also enrich activities as well. If you want help cleaning up HubSpot w/ Clay, lmk!
Jacob T. thanks for getting on this! Curious if you know if there's a workflow to pull valid phone numbers? We're thinking of trying to build an automated flow where we can pull out the contact data that has a valid phone number maybe once a month, to gather data over time on which leads were valid based on calls from the SDR team. Hope i explained it well haha. Currently using the Hubspot, apollo, orum stack and clay of course
Joel that's a great idea. You could use something like sureconnect.ai to do this. They have a native Clay integration. I know the founder personally and have used them before. The only real way to validate phone numbers is calling them... and only about 33% of the numbers you're given by any enrichment provider are accurate (I've tested 10+)
Thanks, Jacob. Hey Joelβjust keep us posted if you need any more help!
