Hi, After using the “Find People” feature, I noticed that data from the company table isn’t syncing correctly with the people table. For instance, the wrong company information is being linked to certain individuals. I’ve seen similar issues discussed on community forums and attempted to adjust the company table features myself, but I haven’t been able to resolve the data transfer to the people table. Could you share how you’ve approached this challenge, or suggest a best practice for ensuring accurate data mapping between tables?
When using Find People, Clay automatically links your company table to your people table through a lookup column. To fix syncing issues: • Rerun the lookup column in your people table - this refreshes the connection and pulls updated company data • Check your company identifier - ensure you're using LinkedIn profile URLs (preferred) or company domains as the matching field • Verify table reference - confirm the correct company table is selected in your Find People setup Best practice: Whenever you add new company data to your company table, rerun the lookup column in your people table to sync the updated information. This ensures accurate data mapping between tables and maintains data integrity. The lookup column automatically refreshes when changes are made to the company table.
Thanks for getting in touch. This sounds very odd! Could you link me to the table where you're seeing this, and let me know which rows where people have the wrong company info?
