Troubleshooting Column Merging Issues in Clay Tables

I'm struggling to merge columns as I have in one column in another table. The table where I've gotten this to work is here: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/346206/tables/t_Hizjx8bwPS3Z/views/gv_RihWVvEgrkCG and the column is "Email to Prospect". I'm trying to do the same in the "Final Email" Column of this table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/346206/tables/t_9hqnt6t2GEu9/views/gv_hBomPZGZqFuN but for some reason, it just won't work. Any help will be much appreciated

To merge columns in your "Final Email" column, follow these steps: 1. Click "Add Column" > "Merge columns" 2. Input the formula to combine the two columns you want to mergeIf you're still experiencing issues after following these steps, you may want to: 1. Check that the columns you're trying to merge have the appropriate data types 2. Verify the formula syntax you're using matches what worked in your "Email to Prospect" column 3. Ensure there are no formatting issues in the source columns Source: Hide, Re-order, Sort, Filter, Merge Columns

Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear this isn't working as anticipated. Curious did you end up adding these formulas to the merge column? Or were these here by default? Also, what could be happening is that the Merge Column is working properly, except the Python column is returning a space leading the merge column to return this as copywriting when in fact there is no text. Would recommend adjusting the Python formula column to be a bit more precise. I'm not sure I understand how points 1 and 2 relate to one another within the formula and this may be leading to some of the issues found here. Hope this helps get the ball rolling on, would suggest changing the python formula to be a single logic formula instead of two bullets and then retry the the merge column.
