I am trying to build a signal to understand whether or not a person on linkedin has posted about a list of keywords in the last 6 months. How can I go about doing this ?
You can build this using Clay's Custom Signals feature. [1]
Set up a signal by going to Actions → Import → Custom signal in your table, then use the "Find Recent Posts by User or Company" enrichment. [2] This lets you input specific keywords and set a date filter (like "6 months ago") to find posts containing your target keywords.
Alternatively, use Claygent with a prompt like "Visit this person's profile. Have they posted about [your keywords] in their recent activity? Return 'Yes' if they have, 'No' if they haven't." [3] You can also use Clay's "Find Social Posts" source to pull posts mentioning specific keywords and timeframes. [4]

are you referring to 'Monitor professional posts' in custom signals? I tried this but I'm not able to pass in a column as a variable for 'Company domains or profile URLs' or 'Person professional profile URLs'
Yes, you can reference columns as variables in custom signals. Use the forward slash (/) to access the menu and select your column containing the profile URLs. [1]

Hi Luke - thanks so much for reaching out.
You could use the signal method, but an alternative is for you is to use the Find Posts from LinkedIn Profile enrichment to pull someone’s posts from the last 6 months. Once you have the posts, you can either search them for your target keywords or use a “Use AI” column to analyze whether any of the posts mention those topics. Then just add a simple formula column that returns “Yes” if there’s a match. Hopefully that helps!
Hey Luke- jumping in for Aditi here, yes, the correct enrichment is find professional posts. Unfortunately, you won't be able to pass in a dynamic column variable there. How it works is you either have a table full of companies or people, but you actually have to paste in the list of URLS manually. Please let me know if you have any other questions
