another question - see image for reference - what is "invalid credentials" and how do I get around it?
The "Invalid credentials" error typically means your API key is incorrect or missing when using the write to table feature. To resolve this issue: 1. Find your Clay API key by: • Going to your profile picture in the top navigation • Selecting Settings • Navigating to Your Profile section • Locating the API Key section where you can copy your key 2. Once you have your API key: • Add it to your integration account in Clay under the Integrations section • Save your changes • Retry the action This should resolve the issue and allow your write to table operation to work properly.
where is "integrations"? you mean "connections"?
You're right - I meant "Connections" rather than "Integrations." To add your API key and fix the invalid credentials error: 1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner 2. Go to Settings 3. Select the "Connections" tab in the sidebar 4. Click "Add Connection" 5. Find Clay in the list of integrations 6. Add your API key (which you can find under Settings > Your Profile > API Key) 7. Save your changes This should resolve the "Invalid credentials" error when using the write to table feature.
not working... please give an alterantive fix
If adding your API key in Connections didn't fix the "invalid credentials" error for the write to table feature, try these alternative solutions: 1. Force Run the table - Go to table settings and use the Force Run option (this may take time depending on table size). 2. Delete and recreate the affected column: • Delete the column causing issues • Create a fresh column • Re-map your data to the write to table function • Ensure auto-dedup is activated in the destination table 3. Double-check that all columns and tables in your configuration exist and are correctly set up. 4. Remove and re-add the write to table integration to eliminate any misconfigurations.
when I go to specify the "integration" in "enrichment", am I picking Clay or PDL or both?
When adding an enrichment, you need to select the specific integration you want to use (like People Data Labs/PDL) rather than Clay itself. For the "invalid credentials" error, you should: 1. Go to Settings > Connections 2. Click "+ Add connection" 3. Search for the integration you're trying to use (e.g., PDL) 4. Follow the instructions to add your API key If you're using PDL specifically, you have two options: ** Use Clay-managed PDL account (uses your Clay credits) ** Add your own PDL API key (available on paid plans) The integration you select depends on what data you're trying to enrich - choose the data provider that offers the information you need.
if I'm using clay-managed pdl, why do I need to add that as a connection? Shouldn't I select PDL directly from enrichment?
^ hello?
Hey! If you’re using Clay-managed PDL, you don’t need to add a separate connection. Just select PeopleDataLab as the integration and when setting up the enrichment you can use the Clay Managed API or click on Manager Accounts > Add your API—it routes through our managed PDL access. The “invalid credentials” error usually shows up when an integration is selected but not properly connected. If you accidentally picked PDL instead of Clay, that would trigger it. Just switch the integration back to Clay and it should work fine. Let me know if you have more questions.
