I have an issue with a table running a lookup in google places through Serper, despite my best attempt's it returns USA companies from UK searches and i cant make it stop. Its does sometimes find UK as well...
This issue is likely due to how the location input is set up in your Google Places integration. Make sure you’re specifying the exact UK location (city or region) in the “Location” field when running your lookup. Double-check that your table includes a list of UK cities and industries to target, as broad or missing location data can cause US results to appear. Adjusting these inputs should help return more accurate UK companies. [1] [2]

i am running on UK postcodes
If your table is returning USA companies when searching with UK postcodes, it’s likely that the location input isn’t being interpreted correctly by the Google Places API. Make sure you’re specifying the location as a full UK address or city, not just the postcode, and confirm that the “Location” field is set to the UK. Adding a list of UK cities and industries can help target results more accurately. If you’re still seeing US results, try running separate searches for each UK area to improve relevance. [1] [2]

ok, yes cities does improve it, however i am concerned it may be too narrow?
To improve UK-only results in your Google Places lookup, set the “Location” input to a UK city or region, not just a postcode. You can expand the search radius by zooming out or dragging the map pin, which helps avoid making the search too narrow. Including the location in both the search query and the location field also increases accuracy. If you still get US results, try adjusting the search area to cover more UK regions, but avoid making it so broad that irrelevant results appear. [1] [2] [3]

also how can i allow it to output more than 10 results?
To get more than 10 results from your Google Places lookup in Clay, set the “Number of results” input to your desired amount—up to 200 per search. For broader coverage, use UK cities or regions in the “Location” field and include the location in your search query. Google Maps can return up to 1,000 results, so let Clay continue fetching in real time for the full list. [1] [2] [3]

You’ll find the “Number of results” input when setting up your Google Maps (Google Places) search in Clay. It’s a field in the integration setup where you can specify how many results you want—up to 200 per search. Adjust this value to get more than 10 results.
