When you merge a list with two LinkedIn columns in Clay, you're essentially mapping data between tables.
This process allows you to:
1. Create relationships between your tables (like linking a Companies table to a People table)
2. Extract attributes from one table to use in another without duplicating enrichment costs
3. Map individual items from a list into separate rows in your destination table
For example, if you have LinkedIn company URLs in one table and LinkedIn profile URLs in another, merging them creates a linked relationship. This lets you pull company information into your people data automatically.
If you update information in the source table later, you can rerun the lookup column in your destination table to sync the updated information.
