Timeout issue with Airtable lookup for a large list. Solutions and potential use of rate-limiting

Getting this timeout from airtable lookup call, maybe because the list is pretty big in the airtable - 8,000 rows. What could be the solutions? is rate-limiting it gonna help? if so, where do find it? i can only see it in the custom HTTP call
