Can someone force the consolidated work email column to run? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/59216/tables/t_gFKtUwf9j4R4/views/gv_GBibtNmrMJbd There are work emails that arent populating in the field
Hey hey! Can you drop the URL for your table here? (if applicable) ๐ซถ Don't worry, only admins will be able to open your table ๐
Hey Megan, thanks for reaching out! taking a look
This happens when the validation tool determines that the email is invalid and the next email finder integration tries to find a new one, but if it finds the same one it won't try to validate it again and may result in no final output. We automatically hide the validation columns to help keep the table clean and it may be why it's not evident at first glance. Let me know if you still have any questions though!
There is no way that all of the emails are invalid - there is something wrong here
Appreciate the follow-up and insights, Megan. I'll take another look and find some options
Megan, I brought this up with the team and we'll check what can be done so that these configurations don't decrease the amount of results as much but also looking into how to avoid as many risky emails that those providers find.
Just look at it 4/5 are running and finding the email but not writing the email in the right column.
It either 1) Found the person in the first column or 2) Didn't find anything regardless of what was in columns 4-5. I burned through 8k credits on this because the waterfall method didn't stop.
Megan H. They aren't writing to the email column because the emails that were found were invalid. If you unhide the columns Arturo sent a screenshot of you'll see those are the columns validating the email. Refunding the 8k credits but in the future just know it always is a risk that we can't find the email. The data providers still charge us if they find an email that is deemed invalid later, which is why we currently charge credits here as well.
Ok, thank you for your understanding and help. Should I turn off the email validator?
Hey Megan, you can edit the settings for those validation columns and turn off the safe-to-send-only setting if that helps. Those options will be added to the waterfall soon too to give you more control over whether you want to keep it on or off depending on the situation. Some users have found their bounce rates increased for some of their clients when this setting is turned off but that's the difficult part like Matthew says, we don't know what data the email providers will return.
