Hi. It's been a while since I've used Clay. I am using my own Open AI Key. but it looks like it is still using Clay Credits. Is there a way to do enrichment that does not use Any Clay credits? I thought that using my openai key would eliminate that?
You can use your own OpenAI API key for enrichment in Clay without consuming Clay credits. Here's how: 1. Go to your profile picture in the top right corner. 2. Navigate to Settings, then to the Connections section. 3. Add your OpenAI API key there. Alternatively, when setting up an AI enrichment: 1. In the enrichment panel, go to Model > Account. 2. Click on "Add Account" to input your OpenAI API key. By using your own API key, you won't be charged Clay credits for these enrichments. If you need further assistance, please ask to talk to a person in this chat.
Did that answer your question?
Great! Let me know if you have more questions.
I did that. I am using my own key
Even when using your own OpenAI API key, you may still be charged Clay credits for enrichment. This is because Clay credits are used for various data enrichment services, not just AI-powered ones. Clay credits are consumed for actions like retrieving email addresses, phone numbers, or other data points from our data providers. These operations are separate from the AI-powered enrichments that use the OpenAI API. To understand which specific actions are using credits, you can check your credit usage in your account settings. If you need more detailed information about your credit consumption or have concerns about unexpected charges, please ask to talk to a person in this chat for further assistance.
Is that what you were looking for?
Even though I selected, it, it did not stick I am trying agian.
It seems your OpenAI API key might not be saving correctly. Here's what you can try: 1. Double-check that you're entering the correct API key. You can find it at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys. 2. When adding the key, make sure to: • Go to your profile picture > Settings > Connections • Or, in the enrichment panel, select Model > Account > Add Account 3. After entering the key, ensure you save the changes. If the issue persists, there might be a technical glitch. In that case, please ask to talk to a person in this chat for further assistance.

Thanks again for you help. Ok. I may have a big project, but I need to think if it's doable. I just downloaded a registry of all mental health providers in the country. it's huge. But, I don't know if I have enough information to enrich it and I'm not sure where to start since there is no email address or linkedIn URl. Here is a small sample of the data. I'm trying to see if I can get their Email address and linkedIn. Can yo help me figure out how to do that with enrichment?
Here's how you can approach enriching your mental health providers dataset: 1. Start with the "corner pieces" of your data - the information you already have: • Provider names • Company/practice names • Any other identifying information 2. Use Clay's waterfall enrichment system, which lets you search across multiple data providers sequentially for better coverage. This gives you access to 100+ databases to maximize your chances of finding the contact information. 3. The enrichment process should follow these steps: • First, try to find company domains using the practice names • Use these domains to help find work emails • Use the found emails to discover LinkedIn URLs through reverse enrichment • Further enrich the profiles once you have LinkedIn URLs For the best results, we recommend using Clay's waterfall enrichments approach as it will search across multiple data providers to maximize your data coverage.
Thank you. that was helpful. Is it possible to find people in they don't work for a company but are independent?
Yes, it's possible to find contact information for independent professionals who don't work for a company. Our data providers can help locate personal emails, phone numbers, and social media profiles even without company affiliations. Here are some alternative ways to find these individuals: 1. Google Maps scraping for local business listings 2. GitHub profiles (if they're in tech) 3. Using Clay's Chrome Extension to scrape relevant websites Our enrichment tools can find various contact details including: • Personal email addresses • Phone numbers • Social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) • Location information • Professional background If you need further assistance with this process or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you require more detailed help, you can request to talk to a person in this chat.
I don't really know how to do your waterfall enrichments. Is there a video that shows how?
Yes, you can find a video tutorial about waterfall enrichments at Clay University - Enrich People Waterfalls. To get started with waterfalls yourself: 1. Open your table 2. Click "Add Enrichment" in the top-right corner 3. Select your desired enrichment endpoint 4. Configure your data providers 5. Save and run the enrichment
For me, that's too vague. I need a little more hand holding.
Let me walk you through the detailed steps for setting up a waterfall enrichment: 1. Open your table with the data you want to enrich 2. Right-click "Add Column" and select "Add Enrichment" 3. In the search box, type "Waterfall" 4. Select the specific data point you want to add to your table (like email, phone number, etc.) 5. Configure the order of data providers you want to use in the waterfall 6. Click "Save" to finalize your setup 7. Run the enrichment Important note about credits: You'll only be charged for the provider that successfully finds the data. Most actions that don't return results won't consume credits. LuisArturo Hi Luis. I hope you are well. Question. This is a spreadsheet from a government registration database. These are therapists credentials, NPI number, and their basic name and address. Do you think it's possible to get their email address using one of your waterfalls? If so, how would I do that?
