I've found new leads, enriched with emails and created records into SalesForce. There seems to be duplicate leads created for majority of the leads. Each duplicate will have either:
No email or No Phone Number
Email and no Phone Number
No email and Phone Number
Is there a way to prevent this so newly created records provide all information on just one lead?
By default, Clay prevents duplicate records in Salesforce. However, duplicates can occur if you have "Duplicate Rule Override" enabled in your Create Record enrichment. To prevent duplicates: 1. Use Lookup Records first - Check if leads already exist in Salesforce before creating new ones using the Lookup action. 2. Set up conditional runs - Only create records if the lookup shows they don't already exist. 3. Disable Duplicate Rule Override - Ensure this setting is turned off in your Create Record enrichment unless specifically needed. 4. Test before automating - Turn off auto-update and manually test a few rows to verify your workflow before enabling automatic uploads. The missing email/phone data suggests your Salesforce duplicate rules may be creating partial records when they detect potential duplicates.
Hi Rex, apologies for the delay. This definitely shouldn't be happening. Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?
