Struggling with MailTester Ninja API Integration? Need Help!

·
·

Hey Everyone! I'm trying to set up an API Integration with MailTester Ninja but I'm struggling. In the provided info: https://mailtester.ninja/api/, it has info but doesn't all match what I was expecting to see. For example in the token response area are those the headers?

I understand you're having trouble setting up an API integration with MailTester Ninja. While we don't have specific information about MailTester Ninja, I can guide you through our general HTTP API integration process: 1. Define the HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) for your integration. 2. Enter the API endpoint URL you want to interact with. 3. Add any necessary query string parameters (e.g., email=example@clay.run). 4. Set up required headers, typically including an Authorization header with your API key. If you're still facing issues, could you share more details about what doesn't match your expectations? This would help us provide more specific guidance.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! ☺️ What have you tried so far? Here are a few resources on HTTP API columns:

A basic tutorial on using HTTP API A guide with more detailed instructions on set up Bonus: Formatting JSON Bodies for HTTP API Also, do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look?

You need to get Token by hitting this end point https://token.mailtester.ninja/token?key=yourkey Then for verification/testing pass that token to this end point https://happy.mailtester.ninja/ninja?email=john.doe@email.com&token=yourtoken The token is only valid for 24 hours and you need to get a new one after that

Hey Heather, Thanks for your patience! I see what you mean—if you're aiming for fully automated workflows, the 24-hour token expiration isn't ideal. Curious, is there a specific reason you're considering MailTester? I also put together a short video on how to set it up in case you’d like to use it: https://www.loom.com/share/c3c5253e9d40447ba9dbce17995a8013 Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for the help. 🙂 I think the easiest is to just use another verifier that doesn't expire. Is there one you suggest that preferably already has a Clay integration?

Hey Heather, It’s a bit difficult to recommend a single provider, but Debounce and ZeroBounce are solid options with good variable-cost pricing models. If you're looking for providers that offer email finding + email verification with flat fees, you might find this post helpful (though I’m not sure if it’s a paid promotion): LinkedIn post. I believe we integrate with all of them! Let me know if you have any questions.
