if i'm using zapier to "find row in table" and then "update record on table" in Clay. Would it be possible to search for a row across multiple clay tables in the same "Zap" within zapier?
Yes, you can search across multiple Clay tables using two different lookup actions in Clay:1. "Lookup Single Row in Other Table" - This is best for finding one specific matching record in another table. 2. "Lookup Multiple Rows in Other Table" - This allows you to find multiple matching rows based on your specified criteria. Use this when you need to retrieve multiple records from another table. You can chain these lookup actions together in your Zapier workflow to search across different Clay tables before performing your update operation. Hey there, thanks for reaching out! βΊοΈCurrently, using Zapier to search for a row across multiple Clay tables in a single "Zap" is not supported. I'm curious to learn more about your use case/goals, so I can point you in the right direction or offer workarounds. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know! π Have a great Monday, Daniel
i'm running a zap that gets triggered when a linkedin message is sent (via HeyReach) to a contact. I then want to look across multiple tables for that contact and update the row
is there another way to do this?
Hey Miguel, thanks for reaching out. Think the most straightforward approach would be to create a single master table in this case which would eliminate the need to search across multiple tables. Is that something that seems feasible on your end? Otherwise you could build in a loop function or have multiple steps in Zapier to search through these tables. I.e. search through table 1, if the data point is found update the row in table 1, if it's not found search through table 2, if found update, if not keep searching table 3, etc. Does that make sense, this would be interesting to build in Zapier but I'm almost certain it would be possible.
how do you create if-then statements like that in zapier?
i could create 1 table , but my only concern is scalability in terms of the column cap
so most likely would need to keep the tables seperate from a scalability standpoint
i could create seperate zaps as well i'd imagine?
awesome, thank you!
Of course, feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. :)
