hey something went wrong with my Ocean.io table, and it wasted 500 credits, any chance I can get them back? The table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/310596/tables/t_NT6s6ZutSfGy/views/gv_hTyw9zs9v46x I've used ocean integration before with good results, but this time I ran it, the companies it found are nothing like the companies I put in. The domains I put in are financial education websites, and none of the results match it, I can't use these. Not sure if it glitched this time around or maybe it's not reliable for every industry?
๐ Hey there! Our support team has got your message - we'll be back in touch within 24 hours (often sooner!). If you haven't already, please include the URL of your table in this thread so that we can help you as quickly as possible!
Hi Alexander, thanks for reaching out. I just added those credits back to your workspace, sorry about this! I think I was able to figure out what caused your issue here, it's related to the inputs of your lookalike search. If you inspect the source of your Ocean.io lookalike search, you'll see that some of the domains you input are investment firms such as fidelity.com. What I would suggest here is that you set up a new search, and keep the input domains to companies which strictly provide financial education as their central value proposition. This will ensure that your lookalike results are limited to the firms you're actually targeting here. I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
Thanks for the quick help and credit refill!
I did that though, the domain you mentioned fidelity.com was under Excluded domains
All the ones I added, are strictly financial education
if you scroll down you'll see the 8 input domains I added.
the list at the topic, is all exclusions.
Maybe the exclusions threw it off or something?
Hi Alexander, I believe the primary issue lies in the domain selection used to set up the search. You should try excluding companies that provide investment management services in addition to their educational products. For example, financialhealth.com offers both, which could lead to including investment firms in your lookalike search that you're trying to avoid. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/1198601163/12d50ba80aa374d23f4f46fe/CleanShot+2024-09-30+at+10_35_13%402x.png?expires=1727709300&signature=0cc67b4a132d1b059e403e2ee9c364494c12726899530d90af16864be0aba403&req=dSEuHs9%2BnIBZWvMW1HO4zaUcnU8aLM8hTnrIrz7HeZh2FO3%2FgRk%2FTNUuhdQY%0AvGWq%0A I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!
I see, thanks!
The Domain exclusion - how does that work
Or is it using it as an anti-lookalike, to avoid finding companies that look similar to the ones I put in the exclusion
