Clarifying Clay Referral Process for Clients in Asia

Questions: I'm based out of Asia. My clients are Asia based B2B companies, especially needing Chinese language support, that wants to target global B2B audiences for leads. If I have a couple of clients using the Clay free trial. They are willing to move to a paid trial. If I share my referral link to them, . They would just need to click the link, log in, and upgrade. Or do they have to create a brand new account to use my referral link? And then both of us will get referral Clay credits? Or is there another process.

Also, I've just applied for the creator program. There is a referral commission for creators right? So should I wait until I get approved to the creator program before I get my client to pay? How long does it usually take to get approval for the creator program? Is it a simple process where I provide them a link, they click the link, log in, and upgrade? Or do they have to create a brand new account to use my referral link?

Understand this part - Client uses my link and upgrades and both client and I will get 3,000 credits. Still unclear about this part - Once I get approved as a Creator, there is a 20% referral fee right? Questions: 1) If they first pay before I become approved as a creator, can I still get the referral fee? Or do I need to tell them to wait to purchase, to use free trial first, and then once I get approved as a creator, then have them use my link to upgrade to a paid plan so I can get the referral fee? 2) When they do upgrade to a paid plan, will both the client and I get the 3,000 credits + I get the 20% referral fee? Or is it one or the other? I obviously would rather get the 20%.

Hi Hari. Thanks for your reply but seems like there is a gap in what I’m reading. I have a couple of clients I’m ready to get them to subscribe now. In your response, your first points were that I “do NOT need to be an approved Creator at the time they first pay to still receive the 20% referral fee. The only requirement is that they must use (my) referral link…” But then the next point you mention is the I apply to become a Clay Creator and once approved, I’ll receive an affiliate link. So it seems like I need to be first approved as a Clay Creator before I can get a link right? So I do need to be approved as a Clay Creator before I can get the credits and referral fee?

Also, today when I go to https://www.clay.com/partners/creators, it takes me to a log in page, and then it takes me to my Clay workspace. I can't seem to apply or fill out information anymore. I've applied yesterday but did not include that I already have a couple of clients interested in Clay. I want to reapply and let the know I have 3 clients ready to pay when I tell them to.

This is my agency email that I used to apply for Clay Creator. josh@cvlagency.com This account is using a free trial workspace I've recently created. https://app.clay.com/workspaces/755621/home I've built a few tables already for 1 of my client's account with their free trial (not part of my free trial account I used to sign up for this Cohort). Questions:
Once the free trial ends:
Would the credits I have still remain?
Would the tables I've built, including all the lookup, formula, and prompts still remain?
I've connected my OpenAI API, would I still be able to use it? If not able to use it, when I get them to pay for Clay, would the previous set up remain or do I need to set it up again?

I actually have 2 other clients that I'll open free accounts for. I'm waiting to get approval for Clay Creator before I have all 3 clients pay. Will completing this Cohort help me get approval?

Hi Hari. I understand Clay can't guarantee any timeline. But do we know how long it takes to get a response, whether it's a yes or no? I'm asking because 1 of my clients is ready to move to the paid plan asap. And the other 2 will be ready by the end of the month.
