Hi, I have a question: When using Use AI in Clay, if the use case is Web Research and the model is OpenAI instead of ClayAgent, will ClayAgent still perform Web Search?
No, Claygent will not perform web search when you select OpenAI as the model in Use AI. When you choose "Web Research" as the use case in Use AI and select OpenAI (or any other model like Claude/Gemini), that specific AI model handles the web research task - not Claygent. Claygent is a separate AI integration that specifically performs web research and scraping when you use the dedicated Claygent enrichment.
And I wonder why the Rate Limit must average at least 5 requests per second? .. The external API we are using must be limited to 2 requests per second.
Hey Ted K. No, if you use OpenAI as the model, Clay will not do a real web search. It will only use the inputs you give it (like scraped text or static info). To perform actual web research (Google + scraping), you need to use Claygent.
