Mapping LinkedIn Company Industries to HubSpot Dropdown Menu for Industry Field

Hello guys, I aim to match linkedin company industries with our hubspot company industry qualifier, which takes the form of a dropdown selection. For now, my Hubspot "Industry" field does not match perfectly "linkedin company Industries", which I aim to gather directly on Clay. Let's say we added a Clay column to show company industries based on linkedin enrichment: any advice on the ways to map it to our hubspot "industry" field, which is a dropdown menu, for it to reflect the industries shown on Clay?

Use chatGPT and submit the drop-down options you have in hubspot and ask ChatGPT to format the industry you have in clay to match with those.

E.g "We have the following properties in hubspot for industries (submission of drop down options). Match the /industry field of the company to the best industry we have on Hubspot. Return as output the hubspot industries"

thank you for your message. However, we would rather like it the other way around: we want our current /industry Hubspot field to reflect the LinkedIn-based industries found on Clay. In other words: we think that LinkedIn industry categorisation is better than ours, and we want to rely on it instead of the ones shown on Hubspot. Knowing that our Hubspot is already connected to Clay: how can we map the industries found on Clay to our Hubspot, and transform them into options of a drop-down selection?

Create a new property of Industries and add the same options as in clay as drop downs. Then push the industry from clay into hubspot

any way to automate that? knowing that there must be dozens of different industry options

You might also notice that the industries from clay LinkedIn may not be exactly same as sales nav so you have to pick a standard and stick with it in your central point

You may also just use a free text field as LI. Industries property and just put it directly in there from clay that way you don't have to create the different drop down options. Unless you want that.

yes we actually do want that for our sales to stick to existing categories and to facilitate hubspot workflows

Then pull the industries from Clay LinkedIn Categories and add them as options. I think thats what I'd do. I'd look into API of Hubspot to see if you can upload property options in bulk. Should be possible
