Improving LinkedIn Scraping for Relevant Lead Profiles

ยท
ยท

Hello Clay team! We have noticed that when we search for Linkedin profiles of some leads it scrapes profiles that are not relevant to our request. For example we ask for CEO/Founder and it scrapes profiles such as Executive assistant to CEO, Senior Business Manager to CEO. These rows take up credits but are not very useful so we have to delete them and sometimes find manually the right lead. Is there any way to reduce these cases(waste) or maybe we need to tick certain boxes to avoid getting such results? Would appreciate your help!

Add these keywords (Executive assistant, Business Manager) to exclude titles section.

Thanks. So I think it's hard to imagine how many titles could be there and include them as exclusion. I think the credits should not be charged for leads that are not aligned with the requested title. There is a waste there.

Hey Sabina! Thanks for reaching out and flagging this issue. Appreciate you for the great suggestion, Faheem, that's definitely a solution for this. Of course, totally understand that it's difficult to consider variations as you stated, Sabina, which is also something Clay itself could encounter because we aggregate data from multiple 3-party providers, but they collect it exactly as they see it online. Here's a video on potential steps you could take to get around this and mitigate the credit usage on unrelated profiles. Hope it helps a bit! https://www.loom.com/share/86c6657b08a64f449d714ff033983a7b

Thank you for sharing this. It makes sense. So unfortunately we don't have Levels in our UX.

As you can see it's different from the video you have shared.

Hey there Sabina thanks for reaching out, jumping in for Arturo here. The reason the Find Contact at company looks different in this case is because you are currently viewing the integration version of the Find People feature. However, if you were to click on the "Actions" button in the upper right-hand corner of the table you would see an option called "Find people at these companies" appear that you can select. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1249242099/603b52ade68415448491031d359d/image.png?expires=1731437100&signature=327ce8863748643258ba7309d0ef589d2be0dd44d3fc434517cee19a9a462467&req=dSIjH8t6n4FWUPMW1HO4zfnxg64ro0Z331aq1TYFcEEcZS2ZB5AVOPo7NW3K%0Aedr%2F%0A
