Understanding Manual Validation vs. Auto-Update in Find Emails Waterfall

Hi all - when a table has auto-update off. Why do I have to manually run the "Validate XX" columns in the Find Emails waterfall? But yet the actual find email data columns automatically flow

When auto-update is off, downstream columns like validation won't automatically refresh with new data from the email finder columns.
The validation columns exist behind the scenes and need the found email data as input to run their validation process. [1] Since auto-update is disabled, these validation steps don't automatically trigger when new emails are found - you have to manually run them to validate the emails that were discovered.
This is why the email data flows but validation requires manual triggering.
