Is there a data source in Clay that can see how much a business might be spending on ads? (If not, any external recommendations)

I may be mistaken but I think Semrush provides this

Yup, the team is working on a Semrush integration, and should be released soon. For now, it's probably best to use our HTTP API integration if you have an account with them and access to API. Quick video on how HTTP API works: https://www.loom.com/share/114ff06973bd4ed7985b32fa031be867Or using a scraping tool or Claygent to navigate the page and extract the data for you :)

Thanks Arturo O. I’m trying to come up with a list that pulls in sites (businesses) we know are spending on ads. That’s the primary goal. I want to go beyond the standard “has Google/ Fb ads tag”. Any ideas at all would be gratefully appreciated 🙏 (Even indirect ideas where probability of ad spend is happening)

Yup, it's an awesome use case but I don't think there are sites tracking that info or at least counting how many ads they have active up to a certain date. If there's such a tool then we could look into it. Aside from that, scraping the ad libraries directly could be the next best option.
