Can you create Hubspot Activity = Note from clay??
To create a Hubspot Activity as a Note from Clay, you can use our "Create object" action. Here's how: 1. In your Clay table, add a "Create object" action for Hubspot. 2. Select "Note" as the object type. 3. Map the necessary fields, including: • hs_note_body: The content of your note • hs_timestamp: The time of the note creation • hubspot_owner_id: The owner of the note (if applicable) 4. Run the action to create the note in Hubspot. Remember to ensure you have the required permissions in your Hubspot account for creating notes. If you need more detailed guidance, please ask and I'll be happy to help further.
I dont see the note object type
Disha, thanks for getting in touch. Clay has bidirectional integration with HubSpot for contacts, companies, leads and deals, but does not have direct functionality to create Notes objects in HubSpot. We can integrate with custom objects, though. I can share this as a feature request internally. I'm curious – could you let me know any specific use cases or workflows or challenges, where these updates would be especially helpful for you? I'll relay this to our product owners. Any additional context is welcome, so we can keep your situation in mind as we build out the roadmap.
Hi Mark! Thanks for the clarification. I often use Clay to add new contacts to HubSpot because it's a neat way to avoid duplicates. This time, I was uploading a list of leads we got from an event, and we had some notes associated with each of those leads, thats sales would need it later.
Gotcha, thank you! I have more of a background in Salesforce myself, so I don't have a great sense of how Hubspot users typically leverage notes. Really appreciate this use case – the value is clear! I'm hopeful we can extend Hubspot integration to other objects in the future. Best alternative I can think of in the meantime would be to include the notes/comments in a custom property. Far from ideal, but might work, depending on the nature of the data. Thanks again for sharing this!
