Can you guys stop automatically changing the model back to a claygent model every time a change is made? In the claygent, if i choose i want to use my own model but then make a change or regenerate the prompt, ya'll switch it back to your clagent which then costs me credits when i was planning to use my own keys. I understand the logic, everytime you regenerate the prompt it chooses the best but it's more shady than helpful.
where can i go to request a refund of credits for ya'll switching it automatically without confirming or asking?
To prevent Clay from switching back to Claygent model: 1. Turn off auto-update for your table by clicking the three dots next to your table name, then select "Auto-Update Columns." 2. When testing AI prompts, start with a small sample (5-10 rows) before scaling up. 3. For columns already running, click "Stop Updates" to halt current enrichments. This prevents unintended model switches and helps conserve your credits while using your own API keys.
Hey, Got it—you’re right, that switch shouldn’t happen without notice. Curious if it’s caused by the Metaprompter auto-selecting models when changes are made to the prompt? If you confirm that’s what happened, I’ll flag it to the team. Just let me know how many credits were used and I’ll add them back.
