Arturo (Clay) Hi, let's say I want to pull a list from 'Find People on LinkedIn' on a weekly basis. Same search parameters every time but I only want the new people (so not to burn credits and have overlaps). Is this possible to automate a weekly pull of the data?
Hey hey! Can you drop the URL for your table here? (if applicable) 🫶 Don't worry, only admins will be able to open your table 😉
Hey KC, thanks for reaching out! We don't currently have a way to automate this but it has been mentioned a few times. To clarify, there are ways to do something similar but only if you're referencing a list of companies, if you add a new one to your company list it could automate the people search. Our Getting Started video shows a bit of that process-https://www.clay.com/learn/getting-started-with-clay
But if your goal is to find people regardless of company, we don't have that automation option just yet. You can keep on running Find People searches and importing to the same table, which will check for duplicates and skip them, importing new leads only. Hopefully, there will be some updates addressing this soon!
Arturo (Clay) - this concept of "match or append" where clay checks to see if that (person or company) is already in the table and if not will add it would be a MAJOR win ... for a tool designed to manage lists, its kinda strange that its not there!
Got it, Ian Mckee! Clay currently resembles a spreadsheet like Excel, which doesn't have a way to prevent duplicate data from being added across spreadsheets but the capability to look it up across them. Of course, this may be added in at some point where it could do a workspace-wide lookup+dedupe(?). It's probably resource intensive and why it's not been prioritized but I'll submit a request for this.
hi, why are there so few ppl found using the linkedin people finder?
I put in new york, saas and ceo and only got 138 results
how do I get the whole database?
Or at least more ppl?
Hey! Happy to run some tests, do you have a link to the company table? Since our tools use data aggregators for those lists and don’t have access to your active session or cookies, it could miss a few profiles due to them being restricted by linkedin or the user
If you add more keywords to the search that would include variations of the titles you need, that will likely yield more results. Example: CEO, chief executive officer, owner, parter…
I don't have a link to a table, I'm just trying to run a demo for folks tonight on how to find CEO's that are in the SAAS industry from linkedin
i don't see linkedin as a source anymore
