i ran person enrichments and clay automatically ran all rows in all columns of the sheet. I only wanted it to do the enrichtments of the person profiles. how can i avoid this in the future?
To avoid automatically enriching all rows and columns when you only want to enrich person profiles, you can use two main strategies: 1. Turn off auto-update: Go to the "Run Settings" for each enrichment column and toggle off the Auto-Update button. This prevents Clay from automatically enriching new rows added to your table. 2. Use conditional runs: When setting up your enrichment, you can specify conditions under which the enrichment should run. This allows you to target only the rows containing person profiles. By combining these approaches, you can ensure that enrichments only run on the specific rows you want. If you need more detailed guidance on implementing these strategies, let me know, and I'll be happy to help further.
where do I find the "Run Settings"?
You can find the "Run Settings" for any enrichment column in Clay by following these steps: 1. Go to the enrichment column you want to manage. 2. Click on the column header to open the settings. 3. Look for the "Run Settings" option. In the Run Settings, you'll find two main options: 1. Auto-update: This automatically enriches new rows added to your table. 2. Conditional Run: This allows you to set specific conditions for when the enrichment should run. To set up a conditional run: 1. Click on "Conditional Run" or look for the "Only run if" box. 2. Enter your conditional formula or use the "Use AI" button for help creating one. These settings help you control when enrichments run, saving credits and optimizing your workflow. If you need further assistance, you can request human help by clicking on "Talk to a person".
i only see run info
no run setting
It seems there might be some confusion about the terminology. The "Run Settings" option isn't directly visible in the column settings. Instead, you can access similar functionality through the following steps: 1. Right-click on the column you want to manage. 2. Look for options like "Run Column" or "Play". 3. You'll see various run options such as "Run All Rows that haven't run or have errors" or "Force Run All Rows". These options allow you to control when and how your enrichments run. If you're looking to set up conditional runs: 1. Add a new enrichment column. 2. Click on "Run Settings" or "Conditional Run". 3. Use the "Use AI" button to help create a conditional formula. If you're still having trouble finding these options, you might need more specific guidance. In that case, you can request human assistance by clicking on "Talk to a person" for more detailed help.
To prevent enrichments from running across rows accidentally, I suggest that you either turn off auto update for the individual columns you don't want to run, or turn it off for the entire table. Here's how you can set either up: Column specific - Go to edit your column, and navigate to run settings, here you can do this:
Table wide - select your table name in the top left of your screen, and select disable auto update. Here's how you can do this:
