I need to identify people from companies in certain industries. However, it's difficult to name the industries if i dont have the full industry name list. Can you provide the list of industries that clay can be filtered on? So that i can read and select them for me?
We don't have a comprehensive list of all industries available for filtering in Clay. However, you can use our Find People feature to search for contacts based on industry criteria. Here's how: 1. Start with a list of companies in Clay. 2. Use the Find People feature to layer people search on top of enriched company data. 3. In the search filters, look for the "Industry" field. 4. Enter specific industries you're interested in (e.g., "Environmental Services, Technology"). This approach allows you to identify people from companies in specific industries without needing a full industry list. If you need more detailed guidance, you can explore our Clay University lessons on finding companies and people.
Not sure if I got your question Stephan, but you can create a column or a new table and enrich that column with industries names. Then, you can always reference that name on another column that is using enrichment i.e.: "Only pick the names out of the column INDUSTRIES" "Only use the industries in column INDUSTRIES to find companeis", etc. Does that answer your question?
Gui S. thanks for your reply. Sounds interesting, so you are saying i can do a column and add entries in rows - and then later use the column as a variable? My original question might be easier: I was looking for a comprehensive list of all industries available on clay. So when i'm discussing with a client, which industries are relevant, i can match them to clay's industries. Just a list, like in excel or on a website. Currently, i need to scroll through the list when selecting them - and this is not a format i can discuss with a client 😄
I think you are referring to the list of industries that shows up when you use the "Find local business with Google Maps" template, right? Because you could get very different lists of industries with different prompts in Clay. Check this video out from the folks at Sculped. It might help you out. https://sculpted-clay-agency.notion.site/Industry-Classification-GPT-1d668ec4f74280a390d8dad963762eaf
