Efficiently Linking Data from Table B to Existing Columns in Table A

Look-up Single row from table b to table a. Table A already has the columns. Is there a solution to avoid having to create new (repeated) columns and have the data drop into the existing columns. Write to table isn't an option as data needs to be carried across multiple rows
