Hi team, how can I import/use Claude skills in Clay?
Claude is available as a built-in integration in Clay for text generation and AI tasks. You can access it by adding an enrichment column to your table and searching for "Claude" in the integrations list. [1]
Once added, you can use Claude to generate content, analyze data, or perform various text-based tasks within your Clay workflows. The integration connects directly to Anthropic's API, so you'll have access to Claude's advanced language capabilities right in your table.
Is that what you were looking for?
If you need any more help with using Claude skills in Clay, please let me know. Would you like to share more about what you're trying to achieve or any specific questions you have?
Clay are a bit more different than simple prompting, they have more structured and progressive instructions and reference examples in markdown. Is there a better way to access them in Clay?
Yes! For structured prompts with progressive instructions and examples, check out:
Templates & Browse Templates: In the Use AI integration, click "Browse Templates" to see pre-configured prompts for common use cases.
S.P.I.C.E. Framework: Clay uses a structured approach with sections like #VARIABLES#, #CONTEXT#, #INSTRUCTIONS#, and #EXAMPLES# wrapped in HTML tags to create more sophisticated prompts. [1]
Claybooks: Interactive step-by-step guides that showcase specific workflows - explore them at clay.com/claybooks. [2]
AI Metaprompter: Click "Help me" in the Use AI panel's Configuration section, describe what you want, and it'll generate a tailored structured prompt for you.
These give you much more sophisticated prompting than basic Claude integration.
Did that answer your question?
If you still need help with accessing or using structured prompts and examples in Clay, I’m here to assist. Would you like to provide more details about what you’re trying to accomplish or any specific challenges you’re facing?
You can't actually use Skills in Clay but for the portion of your skill that is prompt instructions you can just include it in your prompt. However things like scripts that are part of a skill can’t be used.
Exactly right! You can copy the prompt instructions from Claude Skills and use them in Clay's Use AI integration, but any scripts or code components won't work. [1]
For structured prompts in Clay, you can use our S.P.I.C.E. framework with sections like #VARIABLES#, #CONTEXT#, #INSTRUCTIONS#, and #EXAMPLES# to create sophisticated prompts. [2] You can also browse pre-built templates in the Use AI integration or use the AI Metaprompter to generate tailored prompts.
This gives you the prompt engineering benefits without needing the full Skills functionality.
