hey, editing the criteria on a people list to add additional exclude keywords, and when previewing the data can see its working, but when updating table, it doesnt seem to actually update the table. any ideas?
When you edit source filters after a table has been run, Clay doesn't automatically reprocess the existing data. Even though the preview shows your exclude keywords are working, the table won't update with these changes. To see your updated results with the new exclude keywords, you need to either: 1. Delete and re-run the step, or 2. Duplicate the table with your updated source
Can you share how I duplicate the table with updated source? and if that is the case, why does it use thje language "update table"
To duplicate a table with updated source: 1. Click the "..." menu to the right of your table name 2. Select "Duplicate" This creates a copy with your updated source settings but without the data. Regarding the terminology: Clay uses "update table" because you're updating the table configuration, not the data itself. Clay doesn't automatically reprocess existing data when source filters change - it only applies new settings to future data processing.
Ive duplicated the table but can't see how I now edit the source of this new table
To edit the source of your duplicated table: 1. Click the source column title in your table 2. Click "Sources" and select the name of the source 3. Click "Edit source" to adjust your settings as needed Remember that duplicating a table only copies the structure, not the data itself.
