I have an OpenAI column that doesn't seem to run anymore? I got this message a few times which I keep clicking on 'I'm aware' but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Ah -- this was because an upstream cell had an error.
Pedram, it sounds like you've self-solved this one. I wanted to highlight for any others, though, that when you set up the prompt you can set certain properties to be optional by clicking on the blue toggle for the relevant field, and disabling the "Required to run" setting. https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1247493813/ab329c549041c38a5350941c07b4/20241111-64660-required-to-run.png?expires=1731339000&signature=fc37d27a3f001ea02042831898c169d7bffc98f298c5383d88f6a3e90def843c&req=dSIjEc13noleWvMW1HO4zTEnsiuMqpSOr8izehkn5UFy2zYylx2in14iC3zV%0AyRj%2B%0A Looks like you're already taking advantage of that in your "LinkedIn Connection Message" column. Great option if you have any AI columns that are high priority to run, but don't necessarily need every possible datapoint!
Thanks! I wish there was a way the cell would highlight that this is what is missing. It took me a long time to realize that i need to go back to my prompt, scroll through each 'required to run' to find the one with the warning symbol and then let it know I understand it will run without this text.
I'd agree with that, 100%. We've been discussing stale data internally recently, and I think our product/engineering folks recognize the need to make this more transparent and diagnosable. One method I find helpfull: at the bottom of the workbook, you can "View graph" to see all the column relationships. And that view can make it a bit easier to visually scan for this sort of issue. For e.g. now-deleted columns lingering in prompt, the dependent node/column would have a little yellow triangle alert icon. ā ļø Please keep in touch if you hit other roadblocks!
