How to Pause Notifications Without Leaving Workspace to Get Rid of Unread Dot

Silly q, but curious if anyone knows how I can pause notifications without leaving this workspace? The white circle for "unreads" is driving me nuts, lol. I want to keep an eye on slack for Clay, but would love the white unread notification dot to go away!

Not sure if this works but you can try going to File -> Preferences -> Notifications and clicking on "Nothing". Example:

Or maybe a few settings around there from Slack, could help. I haven't really played around with them so not quite sure what would work but looks like that would be it.
