I’m encountering an issue with the “Find People” function. I’m uploading a list of 108 companies via a CSV/custom table, but when I run the enrichment step, the results include many companies that were not in my original list—and at the same time, several companies from my input are completely missing from the output. To clarify:
The enrichment seems to return people from unrelated companies not in my original list.
At least a few dozen domains from my initial list are being excluded entirely.
Could you help me understand why this is happening? I want to ensure that the search is scoped only to the companies I’ve inputted and that all of them are included in the results.
Check your Find People configuration: ensure you've selected the correct table under "Companies" and chosen the right column (company domain or LinkedIn URL) as your identifier. If you have search limits set (like "3 people per company"), this could explain missing companies—the preview may show more results than actually import. Verify your view selection is set to include all 108 companies, not a filtered subset. The search should only return people from your specified companies when properly configured.
so i have made 3 different iterations using the same in-clay custom table of 108 companies that are all correctly attached to the find people function and each time it yields a different amount of results, some of which are including companies that are not listed in my source table to find people, and then it is also always excluding dozens of domains/companies that were in the table
This inconsistency suggests a configuration issue. When editing your search parameters after importing, Clay appends new results rather than replacing them—this could explain why you're seeing different companies. Double-check your View Selection setting in the Find People modal. If it's not set to include all 108 companies, you might be searching a filtered subset. The varying results across iterations indicate the search parameters may be changing between runs. Ensure your Company Identifier column (domain or LinkedIn URL) is consistently selected and that no filters are inadvertently broadening the search beyond your source table. Hi there, I'm seeing the image below. Do you mind giving me a little more context on the issue and how I can help here?

Hi! thank you so much I’m new to, and figuring it all out. but every time i run different iterations of the 108 companies here: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/709932/workbooks/wb_0t09xccRJjSci6y8obb/tables/t_0t09xcgXXGUzXoRrrfR/views/gv_0t09xcg98mgoQffyrrW it outputs a list (sometimes including companies that were not listed) and then almost always somewhere between 40-70 company domains are missing this is one of them that is missing 62 companies from our original list of 108: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/709932/workbooks/wb_0t0a067HaWZWSEz8Qfy/tables/t_0t0a08aGT3fzAbneZA4/views/gv_0t0a08aHwFMoTwSJrro but i’m just confused because the find people setting is set to 5 people per company and it has ouput 558 people for the companies, while still missing 62 domains of people and then whenever i make a new find table function within the custom table that i built out of 108 companies, it only returns ~90-100 names
