Strategies for Confirming and Enriching Company Data from a National Registry

·
·

Hey, so I have the following scenario I’m trying to figure out but want to get a headstart: I have a list of company names, but they come from a national registry, so it’s based on VAT numbers.

  • Meaning that some of these companies are just management companies, are shareholder/owner of other companies, etc. -> this is a first thing I would like to confirm. I can do this using AI, but are there other ways or integrations to do so?

  • some of these companies have a company domain and/or website. I want to do these 3 things:

  • enrich with general contact email (info@, hello@, etc.) -> usually on their website (I have figured this out but enrichment is around 75% right using hunter, claygent, and AI).

  • tried an appscript but it failed massively

  • find the owner, managing partner, CEO, and others in management and get their email

  • If I enrich by people, it will use LinkedIn, but as these are local construction businesses the smaller and medium ones are BARELY present on LinkedIn. What other ways can I find the owner and their personal email?

  • How can I find the owner (at scale) if there isn’t more info than the company name, address, VAT number, but no website/domain?

  • Additionally, I would say about 50% of these don’t even have a website. They are just solo entrepreneurs or work with others on projects and get all business via referrals, etc.

Quite a bit to unpack here but appreciate input/help 🙂. Good to know is that these are based in Belgium. Goal is setup emails at scale to arrange meetings for a construction ERP system.

Following 👀 . I've been thinking of similar kinds of projects. Here are some ideas that aren't fully figured out yet. -could try searching a government business registry to find who the owner is -could try to use a whois search on the domain to see who owns it if they haven't done domain registration privacy -you may be able to use clay to do a google search, and for the search put the company URL is quotes so it is an exact match then use the word "owner" or "president" or something like that. Then return the snippet from the first search result and it might have owner info some of the time?

Hey there Olivier sorry for the delay, so to start I want to ask a quick question, how are you verifying these results? Are you visiting the websites to ensure the results are accurate?

Jacob V. thanks for the input!

    • the info comes from the business registry and doesn’t solve for those companies being just management companies, not the actual company acting as the lead, but that’s a small detail.

    • triggered: more info pls on domain registration?

    • yeah has very poor results with the AI
