Assigning Territory Accounts to Sales Team: Seeking Efficient Solutions

Β·
Β·

Hi Team, I'm trying to assign territory accounts to a team of salespeople. I have a list of our TAM, but some companies have multiple associated subsidiaries (eg: .io, .co.uk etc). Ideally I'd like to assign a salesperson a company + all it's subsidiaries + associated companies, and wondering if there's a way to do this? I've tried a few things but can't find a solution. Alternative is to sort all company names A-Z, then manually go through and find any which are likely subsidiaries/associated and assign them all to the same person. As there are 12k companies...any alternative ideas would be greatly appreciated πŸ˜… Here is the table - https://app.clay.com/workspaces/223473/tables/t_CUQp3kuTJ5BX/views/gv_k3aZ3xriifY9

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! I’m looking into this now. Could you share some context on where you’ve stored the hierarchy of companies, subsidiaries, and associated entities? If it’s in a CRM, you might be able to establish these relationships and assign your salespeople accordingly. Let me know more details so I can better assist you!

It seems like you're using hubspot here - they recently updated this article on how you'd be able to set this up within hubspot, to make your assignment process more effective: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/add-a-parent-or-child-company I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!

Hey Bruno R. - thanks for the quick reply. The challenge is that we haven't yet established what the hierarchy of companies is (identified the parent company + what subsidiaries need to be associated with it). The table linked above is our entire TAM (half of which is in Hubspot already, the other half are not). Wondering if there's any way to identify the child/parent associations in Clay and assign a salesperson to all child associations found.

You can run a Claygent prompt to determine the relationship between two columns and classify them as 'parent,' 'child,' or 'no relationship,' based on insights gathered through a web scraping action on those companies. Here's a video showing you how to use Claygent at its full potential: https://www.clay.com/university/lesson/claygent-ai-web-scraper-clay-101. Next, you can create a custom property in HubSpot and push updates through an integration to modify contact records. This custom property can then be tracked in HubSpot to streamline your assignments.
