https://app.clay.com/workspaces/356594/tables/t_ZB6C4wig6drD/views/gv_mfNq9rxj4xF2 I had 38 Job Description keywords, and it would return 2,732 results. I then added a lot more, totaling 280 keywords, and it only returns 2,249

Hi Nicolas, thanks for reaching out. There's a 65k character search parameter upper limit. Results from the people search typically get impacted by the following instances: 1. Inputting semantic search parameter instead of syntactic search: A limited set of job title keywords applied to the role being targeted. Our search algorithms are based on syntactic search which means you must put every variation of the keywords you're looking for (ie CEO and Chief Executive Officer). When this happens, some matching profiles may be missed because they were not included in the search query. Can you share a bit more info job titles you're searching for? It'll help to include a variety of keywords related to those titles. For example, including other keywords related to sustainability such as ESG, CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility. For Digital Product Passport, it could be keywords like Product compliance or digital asset management. 2. Mapping the wrong inputs in the people filters. For example, not mapping LinkedIn urls from the company table to run the search. 3. Search limits applied to the people search. This reduces the number of records that can be imported from a search. 4. Private profiles: Our data providers use a multitude of ways to access people and company data. For the most part though, we don't use your cookie/login data. This means that we could miss some information here and there, especially if there are privacy restrictions in place for certain profiles. This would mean that your logged in profile has access to it, but our data providers may not. However, we're continuously working on improving our search algorithm to provide more coverage.

I'm trying to get jobs posted for different titles of software developers. So I'm using titles as 'java developer', or 'python engineer', and many other techs. If I go for 'java developer' as Job Title, would it match with a job post for 'java senior developer'?

We recommend searching your leads by job function rather than job title. This new feature enables semantic search, making it easier to find relevant positions. For example, selecting the "Engineering" job function will automatically include all related roles, such as developers, in your search: https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1228837136/1f3bbc833da7818ec2cd665c5252/CleanShot+2024-10-25+at+09_02_11%402x.png?expires=1729863000&signature=c551ec83f8faa8dcda2a5da83afa23d0373082059f3de28e3353415088010011&req=dSIlHsF9moBcX%2FMW1HO4zbAmYzEjzbpcId%2FLnVwgp%2BSbSZqE0PUgXPN52uTz%0A%2Bu3O%0A I hope this was helpful. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know!

I'm on a 'Find jobs' table, so there's no 'job function'

Got it—sorry for the confusion, Nicolas. If you add job title keywords, the search will break them into individual components (e.g., "Java" and "Developer") and look for matches accordingly. In this case, roles like "Senior Java Developer" will be included in the results.

So if I'm looking for 'software engineer' it will also return 'civil engineer' jobs because of the word 'engineer'??? That doesn't make a lot of sense, specially when your own suggestions use job titles with more than one word

The keywords are broken down and matched using advanced logic, with a complex backend process to ensure accuracy. This prevents the issues you mentioned and ensures that variations—such as those with seniority or other modifiers—are included in your search results.
