Hi I have a clay table with a list with company names and company domains exported from PhantomBuster. I want to match company names associated with leads in another table to company domains in the first table. How do I do this using the lookup functions?
You can use the "Lookup Multiple Rows in other Table" feature to match your company data across tables. Here's how: 1. From your leads table (where you have company names), add a new lookup to search the PhantomBuster table (where you have company domains). 2. When setting up the lookup: • Select the company domain table as your target • Choose the company name/domain as your matching data point • You can scan for exact matches or partial matches depending on your needs This lookup will help you find corresponding company domains for your leads. Any records not found will indicate companies without matching domains in your PhantomBuster table.

This run returns an error, 0 records found for all rows

When matching company names to company domains, the lookup may return 0 records because company names are less reliable for matching than domains. Many integrations in Clay rely on company domains as the primary matching data point since company names can vary in format, spelling, or legal entity names. For more accurate results, try these approaches: 1. Use company domains as your matching data point instead of company names 2. If you only have company names, first use a workflow to find the associated domains for those companies, then perform the lookup using the domains This two-step approach will help ensure more reliable matching between your tables.

Since company names can vary in format, spelling, or legal entity names, matching by company names often returns 0 records. Here's how to fix this: 1. First, use the "Find Domain from Company Name" action with Clearbit to get the domains for your company names. This is a free action that doesn't use Clay credits. 2. Once you have the domains, use these as your matching data point instead of company names, since many integrations in Clay rely on company domains as the primary matching identifier. 3. Then perform your "Lookup Multiple Rows in other Table" using the company domains as the matching data point. This two-step approach will help ensure more reliable matching between your tables since domains are more consistent identifiers than company names.
I used clearbit to get company domains for each lead. How do I get telephone numbers and email addresses by scraping the company domains
You can find telephone numbers and email addresses from company domains using several integrations in Clay: For email addresses: ** Hunter - Finds public email addresses associated with company domains ** Findymail - Scrapes and finds clean B2B emails ** Enrichley - Finds and verifies professional email addresses ** Enrow - Finds and verifies email addresses ** FullEnrich - Finds work email addresses from company details For phone numbers: ** ContactOut - Finds mobile numbers using LinkedIn URLs ** Datagma - Finds contact info for individuals and companies ** Forager - Finds phone numbers from social profiles * FullEnrich - Finds phone numbers from company details Simply add these enrichment actions to your table and use the company domains as input to retrieve the contact information you need.

Hi I was not able to get telephone numbers using the webscraper function. How can I get this to work better. I want to be able to automatically pull this telephone number 0161 368 3312 from this company domain: https://www.brookesurgery.co.uk/ and repeat the same task for all leads associated to company domains
You can use Clay's Scrape Website action to extract phone numbers from company domains. Here's how: 1. Add a "Scrape Website" action to your table 2. Use your company domains as the input URLs 3. The scraper will automatically extract: • Phone numbers • Body text • Links • Email addresses • Keywords The native scraper is specifically designed to easily pull common data types like phone numbers, making it effective for static company pages. Since you're working with company homepages, this should work well for your needs. Note: The success of phone number extraction may vary depending on how the numbers are formatted on each website and whether they are publicly displayed on the pages being scraped.
