Bug Alert: Claygent Deleting Prompts – How to Rollback?

·
·

High guys there's a bug in Claygent that literally deletes your entire prompt after you have spent hours writing it. This is terrible. It basically shortens your prompt to a few lines. And removes everything else. How do I rollback to a previous version of my prompt? I copied the prompt before I clicked save and run. But when I paste it back, it goes back to the shortened version. And I can't get it to run the full version of my promt. Is there a workaround for this?

Hey, thanks for letting us know about this issue, and I’m really sorry to hear this happened! That definitely shouldn’t be happening. Did you save your prompt before running it? Unfortunately, we don’t have version control right now, so there isn’t a way to roll back to a previous version. If you can replicate the error and record it with a Loom, that would be super helpful for us to share with our team to get this fixed. Let us know if you need any more help!

The way to get around it is to put your prompt in a text column, then the prompt in Claygent should reference that text column

Henry J. ah interesting, in this case how do you reference other columns from the text column? The way I got around it was to click "save and don't run" every time I made a few edits (like every 3 minutes)

Hi Felix! Yes, "save and don't run" is the way to update the prompt. But I understand your frustration. It happened to me a few times as well by clicking away to another cell or column and the window disappeared. But let me flag this as a feature request. Henry J. Ah, interesting. In this case, how do you reference other columns from the text column? You can create a formula field and type in "Find domain of /columnCompanyDomain" Hope this helps!

You can do a formula which is [prompt as text] + [field name]
