Is there a way i can make edit to the Clay formula and it does not apply to all my historical rows?
I have a 1000 rows with the old formula.
After observing the results, we wish to make changes to the Clay formula, to which we only want it to apply to future rows coming in.
How do i go about that?
To apply formula changes only to future rows and not historical data, you can use conditional runs and turn off auto-update. Here's how: 1. Turn off auto-update: • Click the three dots next to your table name • Select "Auto-Update Columns" to turn it off 2. Use conditional formulas: • Go to "Run Settings" in the column settings • In the "Only run if" box, add a condition like "Only run if /is_new_row is true" • Use the "Use AI" button for easier formula creation This approach ensures enrichments only run on new rows, saving credits and preventing updates to historical data. I think whatever information you shared is outdated. My current UI does not even show this at all

Hey! If you’re trying to prevent downstream rows and dependencies from retriggering based on changes, here’s a workaround: Turn off auto-update, make your changes to the formula, then turn auto-update back on. That way, existing rows won’t all run again. Also, take a look at the column named “Company LinkedIn Exists” — that might be part of what’s causing the behavior you’re seeing.
