    Thanks for reaching, Kevin! OpenAI has not given their API version of chatGPT access to internet yet, unlike their browser version so that may be what you’re experiencing here. The team released Claygent to help with this and is continuously working on it to improve consistency. Hope this helps refine your approach!

    if we use our own open api key, does it still not allow internet access?

    Unfortunately not - they haven't released API support for it still
