Is the People Search a Fuzzy match?
Have had a few clients complain over the months about unqualified contacts when using Clay’s find people function. For example I search for VP of Engineering and will get Sales Engineering Director. How can I avoid this? By using quotes?

Hey Pierre, Thanks for reaching out! To clarify, the People Search is not a fuzzy match by default. If you’re getting results like “Sales Engineering Director” when searching for “VP of Engineering,” it’s likely because the search isn’t using exact match terms. To get an exact match, you can create a “pill” (blue pill) with the title you’re looking for. For example, if you create a pill for “Chief Executive Officer,” it will only show results with that exact title, not “CEO.” Also, searching for “CEO” will only return results in uppercase, not lowercase. Just a heads-up—using quotes won’t improve this type of search. Feel free to reach out if you need any further clarification! 😊
