Understanding the 'Cell Out of Date' Functionality and Its Impact

·
·

Hi! Can someone help me understand the new 'cell out of date' functionality because this seems to have broken all kinds of stuff in my tables. I have a clearbit cell, which is now showing up as out of date all over, and then downstream stuff which is very much static seems to not be working in filters because it's out of date. is there a way to turn this off?

By default, Clearbit integrations in Clay auto-update every 24 hours to keep data fresh and prevent stale data problems. You have several options to manage auto-updates: 1. Table Level Control: • Click the logo in the bottom-right corner of your table • Select 'Turn off Table' to disable auto-updates for the entire table 2. Column Level Control: • Click the column header • Go to column settings • Scroll to the bottom menu • Find 'Auto-Update' under 'run settings' and toggle it off Keep in mind that while turning off auto-updates will stop the "out of date" notifications, you might encounter stale data issues. Our system marks data as "out of date" to ensure you're working with the most current information, as outdated data can affect downstream operations like filters.

Hey Max, thanks for reaching out and great question. Cells become stale or "out of date" when a data point upstream changes after the cell has been ran. I.e. I run a Clearbit find domain search using company name x. If I change domain x to company name y. That Clearbit enrichment will become "stale" or "out of date" because if I were to re-run the Clearbit cell I would get a different output. As of right now there isn't a way to turn this off as it's aimed to ensure you have the most up to date data. Hope this help clear things up! Let me know if you have any other questions. :)
