I extracted 2000 Pest companies leads. And I added a filter saying it to extract 3 people from each company and set a limit of 6000 max contacts. Now I just got 519 Leads in total instead of 6000 leads. Can anyone help me out here?
Hey there - we're having a bit of trouble with our support tooling and closed this conversation out preemptively. Reopening it here and someone from our team will get back to you soon!
Okay thank you
This discrepancy occurs because the per-company limit takes precedence over the total maximum contacts limit. When you set a filter to extract 3 people per company, the system will only pull up to 3 people from each company, regardless of the overall limit of 6000 you set.For example, if you have 519 leads in total, this likely means you're getting up to 3 people from approximately 173 companies (173 x 3 = 519). The Find People search respects these company-level restrictions first, which is why you're seeing fewer total results than your maximum limit of 6000.To get more leads, you would need to either: ** Increase the per-company limit (up to 100 people per company), or ** Include more companies in your search criteria Source: Find People overview | Documentation | Clay University
Hey Aviral, thanks for reaching out. Do you mind sending the link (url) to the table so we can take a look? https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1347419411/65baf32e1d2a789ffba395c6d35c/CleanShot+2025-01-22+at+_42I1FzxXHf%402x.png?expires=1739287800&signature=d8456dc5eb45da9a5cca93fe6b1e0a6306f37539b4155a62f58275cd456921ff&req=dSMjEc1%2FlIVeWPMW1HO4zVws4pg1BVOggvYjA82bedAgZA%3D%3D%0A

I want to extract 3 people each from these 2000 companies and I am able to just get 519 people data. Can you help me out here.
Hey, apologies for a delayed response
Hey Aviral, no worries at all. This is likely due to what filters are being used to search for. If you perform a search and say the limit is 10,000 people but only 1,000 people are found. This is not a technical issue or a bug as there is simply only 1,000 people meeting the certain criteria you're searching for. In this case, I would recommend widening the search filters to include more people. Also, given that these are pest control leads which are likely a more local business there may not be as many as anticipated active on LinkedIn. Is the end goal here to run a campaign to 3 decision makers at these companies? or what is the end goal if this workflow?
that makes so much sense
i am sorry for being so dumb
but you are right, i am looking forward to have the pest control companies scraped out with 3 of their decision makers each and propose my software
what would be the best way
No worries at all Aviral. Usually when it comes to this I always start with searching to see how many people total are associated all of these companies without any filters as shown in the image below. In this case, we see there are ~11k contacts total across all of these companies that are on LinedIn. Here we can adjust some of the filters like job title, and begin adding and removing them to get a feel for how many people are classified to hold a "C-Suite" position, versus an "Owner" position. It also comes down to who is feeling the pain of not using your product or service. If this is a sales software for example, the COO may not be able to relate as closely with a CRO or VP of Sales or Sales Director who is much closer to the potential problem you're trying to solve. There's no right answer here and quantity doesn't mean quality. Hope this helps! Try messing the filters in this search to get a feel for what this population of employees look like. Let me know how else I can assist! :) https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/w28k1kwz/1379341412/7ad40bde54cb8b6958483dbbcce8/CleanShot+2025-02-13+at+12_58_31%402x.png?expires=1739472300&signature=3421c5b4dd987581f56aa9b17d7a25fb4074dddd329b2446467da2f0c6f9be2a&req=dSMgH8p6nIVeW%2FMW1HO4zaXAEVCwkX8quaZ%2Bh6E0CzPyRep9ywbuchWWZdxE%0A0lC0%0A
