I'm struggling with getting relevant results using the ocean.io integration. I'm inputting a list of existing clients who are organisers of conferences and agencies who organise conferences. I don't seem to be getting very relevant results - anyone had any joy with the ocean integration?
To get more relevant results for your list of conference organizers and agencies using our integrations, we recommend exploring some of our data enrichment options. The SimilarWeb integration might be particularly useful for your needs. It can provide insights like website visits, bounce rates, and traffic distribution by geography for the domains you're interested in. Here are a few steps you can try: 1. Use the "Get website visits" action to estimate the number of visits to each domain. 2. Try the "Get traffic distribution by geography" action to understand where their audience is coming from. 3. Look at "Get website bounce rate" to gauge user engagement. These metrics can help you identify which conference organizers and agencies have the most active and engaged online presence. What specific type of information are you looking to gather about these clients? This will help me suggest the most relevant integration actions for your needs.
have tried a few options like that, just fed some of my starter companies directly into ocean and got a totally different and far more relevant list of lookalike businesses.
To get more relevant results for your conference organizers and agencies using the Ocean integration, try these steps: 1. Use the "Find Lookalike Companies" action in Clay. 2. Input up to 10 domains of your most representative conference organizer companies as seed companies. 3. Set additional filters to refine your results: • Exclude specific domains if needed • Restrict lookalikes to relevant countries • Match by company size (e.g., only 200+ employees) • Filter by industry (e.g., event management or conferences) 4. Start with a small sample (e.g., 10 rows) to verify results before scaling up. This approach should help you expand your list with more relevant lookalike companies tailored to your specific needs.
no that is the same info as in the universit
here's the table: https://app.clay.com/workspaces/513401/workbooks/wb_0svhkyy7RZ2df8rmk4A you'll notice we've run a couple of different approaches to searching.
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! 10 is the maximum number of results that can be pulled from a lookalikes search in a row and I see most rows have this amount in this table. I tried adding a few more filters like "Events" but it looks like this didn't increase the total number of results. If you'd like to pull more than 10 results a row, I'd actually recommend using the Ocean.io table source as you can set a larger limit.
Thanks Tanvi R., have tried the ocean table source but the results were not that relevant. For example when running this in ocean I used the same base domains and the 'A' scored results were far more relevant - I used no filters on their platform apart from country. I would understand if the performance is compromised because of commercial incentives I'm just trying to get the best results. If that is the case then we will likely use ocean.io separately and then pull their data through. I just want to be clear as to whether the results directly on their platform are better.
I've done a new table to compare the results in clay to ocean with the same 4 input websites and the same filters. Ocean is giving me results but clay isn't returning anyone. Could someone have a look at this for me please? https://app.clay.com/workspaces/513401/workbooks/wb_0svktavXaagCCQBCZGY/tables/t_0svktc7mfFkqZGUBPGr/views/gv_0svktc8MEVov2mfwpcv
Hey there sorry for the delay here, taking a look at this, made a loom going over what was causing this: https://www.loom.com/share/8e5af0dfbf944e3b802dbae320c9bdfe?sid=5affebbc-0e33-4b99-b1af-c665e11e0e20
