Request for Refund on Excess Clay Credits Due to Bulk Upload Error

Hi Clay Team, I recently added a large batch of companies to a table that had both a Claygent and GPT-4o enrichment set to auto-update. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this at the time. As a result, it ended up using around 20k Clay credits before I caught it and disabled the columns. 20,000 credits typically lasts us around three months, and I wouldn’t have intentionally run these enrichments for most of the companies added beyond the initial few hundred. Given the unintended usage, I wanted to check if there’s any possibility of a one-time refund for these credits, or at least a partial refund. I’d also love to share a UX suggestion: If a bulk company upload is about to trigger automatic enrichments that would spend a significant number of credits (e.g., 5,000+), a warning or confirmation prompt could be helpful to prevent accidental usage.     I'm very sorry that happened. I completely understand how frustrating it can be to unexpectedly use so many credits that quickly.

    Curious, what do you think would be fair here? I'll make sure to share your UX suggestion with the team as well - a warning prompt for bulk enrichments is a great idea.

    Hi Bo, thanks for getting back to me! In terms of what would be fair, I’d ideally hope for a full refund, since the enrichments didn’t provide any meaningful value and were completely unintentional. I also see numerous other examples in this Slack of users receiving refunds for accidental credit usage. That said, if a full refund isn’t possible, I’d be grateful for any partial refund you can offer. I appreciate your consideration and am glad to hear the UX suggestion will be shared with the team!
