How to Update People Table Records After Modifying Companies Table

after outputting a people table connected to a companies table, i went back to companies table and added additional data records in the industries filter. this should generate more records in the people table. i went to the imported profiles column in people table > edit source > update now. It ran but did not add more records. how do I update it?
