Setting Up Conditional Search to Prioritize Job Titles in LinkedIn Profiles | Clay Help
Hi Clay team. I am currently utilizing the "Find Contacts at Company" feature and I need assistance in setting up a conditional search to prioritize specific job titles when searching through LinkedIn profiles. My objective is to conduct a search that prioritizes the following job titles in the order listed, considering various title variations:
- 1.
CEO (also "Chief Executive Officer")
- 2.
Co-founder (also "Co-Founder")
- 3.
CTO (also "Chief Technology Officer")
- 4.
CMO (also "Chief Marketing Officer")
- 5.
COO (also "Chief Operating Officer")
The search should stop at the first match based on this hierarchy, only returning the highest-priority title found for a contact at the provided LinkedIn URL. For example, if a CEO is present, the search should capture "CEO" and disregard the rest. Here are the steps I've attempted:
- 1.
I tried entering the titles in the "Job Title Keywords" field, but I am unsure how to ensure the search stops after finding the first match according to the priority list.
- 2.
I considered writing a custom formula, but I encountered syntax errors and believe I might be using the wrong approach.
Could you please provide guidance on how to correctly set up this search or if there's a specific syntax or method I should use to achieve the desired outcome within your system? Thank you in advance
