Troubleshooting Salesforce Upsert with External ID Key Error

hi team, i am looking to upsert data in salesforce. We've created an external ID field but it still throws me an error Make sure you include an upsert key. - can anybody help? ๐Ÿ™

    Hey Lennart! Thanks for reaching out. It looks like the upsert value selected isn't associated to the Clay ID (in Salesforce) that's also selected in your table. For this action to run, the Clay ID field has to be properly configured as a unique & external identifier in your Salesforce object. Can you check your Salesforce CRM to confirm what is currently selected corresponds to the Clay ID you're using and is checked as a unique and external ID? Here's a step by step we found to select a field for this: Check if Clay_Id__c Exists as a Field in Salesforce: * Go to Salesforce Setup. * In the Quick Find box, type and select Object Manager. * Search for the Contact object (or the object you're working with). * In the Contact object, click on Fields & Relationships. * Look for Clay_Id in the list of custom fields. Ensure that the Unique checkbox is selected to prevent duplicates. This setting will allow Salesforce to use Clay_Id as a unique identifier for upsertion. Also check the box for External ID. Once that is done, you should be to select the appropriate field in your table to run that action. Let me know if this helps!
