how can i create a sort of vlookup from one table to another within one workbook?

You can use the "Lookup" feature in Clay to reference data between tables in your workbook, similar to VLOOKUP in spreadsheets. where do i find the option to create a lookup?

Hi Julia, thank you for reaching out. I believe that this can be achieved using our Lookup function. This video explains how to set up and use a lookup function in 2 minutes. I suggest using a unique identifier such as LinkedIn URL or company domain in order to find the row you are looking for. Let me know if this helps!

thank you! i have now added a new column with all new host IDs, Now I want to update this in my deals in hubspot. How do I do that? do i need to copy & paste this into the column containing the original (empty) host IDs from hubspot?

Hey, You don’t need to copy and paste into the original HubSpot column. In Clay, you can just create a new column and reference your new host ID column using a forward slash—for example: /New Host ID. This way, when you update deals in HubSpot, you can map the correct value without touching the original column. Let me know if you have more questions.
